The strategic plan elaborated by REDEFAR is an agreed document aimed at establishing a new model based on public-private strategies for exploiting the opportunities provided by open innovation with a focus on proofs of concept involving public authorities and pharmaceutical companies.
With this plan REDEFAR aims to:
Reinforce and potentiate efforts to valorize the best science, according to open innovation models.
Establish collaborations with the existing network structures, avoiding duplication and aiming to complement these networks.
Potentiate the proofs of concept and those equipped networks that could accelerate/remove the risk in early initiatives in drug discovery, by making available the chemical compounds required to create biomedical programmes with validated leads.
